Q: I’m not a MemoryWorks consultant - can I still register for the retreat?
A: Absolutely! We have opened our retreat to include all scrapbookers - not just MemoryWorks consultants! We welcome all scrapbookers near and far - whether you’re a customer, friend of a consultant or local scrapbook enthusiast just wanting to experience an unforgettable weekend! The event will focus on inspiring your creativity, learning new tips and techniques from experts in the industry and creating inspirational projects using the latest-and-greatest products from the top scrapbook companies in the industry!

Q: I am a registered MemoryWorks consultant - will there be any special events just for consultants at the retreat?
A: Yes! If you are a registered consultant you will be invited to the private VIP Consultant Business Meeting just for consultants. You’ll get a chance to meet the home office staff and connect with your fellow consultants... and as always MemoryWorks will have a few surprises up our sleeves! Q: How do I book my hotel accommodations?
A: We have blocked out a limited number of hotel rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, attached to the Davis Conference Center, where retreat attendees can book their hotel accommodations. There are a limited number of hotels available, so you are encouraged to book your hotel as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Hotel rooms and accommodations are not made with MemoryWorks, but booked separately with the Hilton Garden Inn.

Q: Can I share a room with another attendee?
A: Absolutely. The hotel pricing is based on double-occupancy, so you can arrange to share your room with another retreat attendee, with up to four guests per room. However, if you are traveling alone, or prefer to have your own private accommodations you are more than welcome to book an individual room for yourself.

Q: If I am traveling by plane, which airport do I need to book my flight?
A: The fee for the event does not include transportation to and from the retreat. Attendees will need to make their own travel accommodations. If you will be booking a flight, you will want to make sure you arrange to fly into the Salt Lake International airport. The Davis Conference Center/Hilton Garden Inn is located at 1651 North 700 West Layton, Utah 84041, approximately 30 miles north of Salt Lake City. If you live in Utah or the surrounding area you can also choose to drive to the Davis Conference Center to save money on travel expenses. Q: Will there be transportation provided to the Davis Conference Center from the airport?
A: Again, the fee for the retreat does not include transportation to and from the event. You can make arrangements for ground transportation by visiting www.slcairport.com

Q: Can I bring a guest or friend?
A: Yes! We welcome everyone to the Memory-Works Scrapbook Retreat - including consultants, non-consultants, customers, hobbyists and scrapbook enthusiasts! The retreat provides the perfect weekend getaway whether you live near or far - bring your girlfriends, co-workers, neighbors, crop groups, family - even your mother-in-law! Just remember that each person in your group will need to send in their registration form and payment in order to reserve their spot!

Q: What is the age limit for retreat guests?
A: Retreat attendees must be at least 12 years old and be able to sit and participate in classes. Due to the fast pace of the classes and workshops, and out of respect to class teachers and students no children under 12 will be permitted at the event, including infants in carriers and nursing babies.

Q: I live in the area and would like to attend the event, but do not need accommodations for lodging.
A: If you live in the northern Utah area and would like to attend the event, but do not want to make accommodations for lodging you can attend the event for the same registration fee of $349. The classes start early in the morning, however the evening events are optional, so you are more than welcome to drive to the Conference Center for the event each day if you so wish.

Q: Can I make arrangements to bring my spouse or family?
A: You are more than welcome to bring your spouse or family for a vacation or get-away to enjoy the beautiful location and tourist attractions in the area. Keep in mind that the retreat schedule is jam-packed full of activities and workshops. Your registration fee includes all classes, workshops and materials - and in order to make the most of the event you will want to attend as many of the classes/workshops as possible. Crops are considered free time and you can choose to use this time to spend with your spouse or family. Although you are more than welcome to bring your spouse/family, just know that your free time throughout the day will be fairly limited. You will not receive a refund for classes or projects missed. If you would like a family member to attend any of the retreat events, they must meet the age limit requirement of 12 years old and pay the regular registration fee.

Q: Will the meals be included in the retreat fee?
A: Meals will not be provided during the retreat, however the retreat facility is located as what’s known as "Restaurant Row" with literally dozens of fantastic restaurants within walking distance, including Corbin’s Grill, Roosters, Olive Garden, Iggy's Sports Grill, Costa Vida, Applebees, Marie Calanders, Red Robin, Golden Corral, Outback Steakhouse, Sizzler, Famous Daves, Chilis, Layton Hills Mall Food Gallery and so much more. The Hilton Garden Inn also features the Great American Grill and Club Fahrenheit, plus the Davis Conference Center will be offering concessions during the retreat event. There is a also a Super Target located within walking distance for shopping and each hotel guest room includes a refrigerator and microwave! So no matter your taste and preference - there’s something for everyone!

A: Absolutely. We will do everything we can to make sure that each guest has a great experience. Q: What scrapbooking supplies should I bring to the retreat?
A. We’re loading you up with new products, projects, supplies and goodies - so pack an extra tote because you won’t go home empty handed! Remember to pack light and bring only the essential supplies for your classes and workshops, such as a cutting mat, paper trimmer, scissors, your favorite adhesive, a black journaling pen, a 12" by 12" paper holder, a 1/8" hole punch or Crop-a-Dile (just in case) and so on. You may even want to consider bringing a few favorite photos and a favorite punch or other tool that you just can't live without. If class teachers or projects require additional tools or supplies, we will notify you by email to make sure to pack those as well! Remember there will be lots of activity and attendees - be sure to label your supplies!
