MW Express - 5/07: Forever 29 card

This one is a fun birthday card - just cut a strip of the numbered paper, round the inside corners and adhere to right side of card. Layer a ribbon across the bottom and stamp "Forever" with white ink (Heidi Swapp stamp). The 29 was made by cutting around the numbers 2 and 9 on a scrap of the number paper, then using a small circle punch to punch out 2 circles from a red scrap. I glued them together and used glue dots to adhere on top of the ribbon. Simple and fun!

This Express kit lends itself really well to handjournaling and LOTS of photos! I just layered stripes and simple photo mats, then added handjournaling, a few 7 gypsies stickers and some stamples - super simple!

This layout was a lot of fun! The transparency gave me a chance to try that fun "layered" look. I journaled on the base paper, then adhered the photos, a large coaster circle and transparency. On top of the transparency, I layered a button on the flower, the "hurray" sticker (which reminds me of a sun!), ribbons and letters with glue and staples.

 

Materials: May express kit, raw coaster circle (Imagination Project), staples, black ink, black pen.

This transparancy was great. I loved layering the cut out flowers on top of the transparancy. 

I used the packaging from the Scenic Route chipboard elements (not in the kit) and cut out the camera to be part of "camera shy", I inked the circle to match the manilla colored paper.

 The right side is "busier" with flowers and journaling and the Left hand side more simple and focus on the photo of me.

The fun thing with the transparancies is you can make certain things stand out by placing different colored paper behind them like I did with the "me" part of the title.  A lot of fun and a great product!
