- Ink edges of tab stickers and adhere as shown. Handwrite title letters on each tab. Add letter stickers to complete title and handwrite journaling.
Techniques (optional):
- Inking the edges of your photos is a great way to add interest, to help photos stand out, and to “flow” with the rest of the layout. Carefully hold your photo in the center (with clean hands) and work your way around the photo with a small inkpad, being very careful not to smear. Let dry before adhering to prevent smudges.

Instructions:
- Make each month’s title block first, adhering with permanent adhesive.
- Add dates, birthdays, etc. to your calendar specific to your family. Hint: If you adhere everything on your calendar (except the title) with temporary adhesive, it’s very easy to move things around as you fill out each calendar.
- Add tags for holidays.
- Cut small journaling blocks (just under 1 ½”x1 ½”) and run them through a small Xyron machine with repositionable adhesive. (You can put these on special dates, or just keep a stash of them to add later as you go through the calendar year).
- For detailed instructions for each months titleClick Here
Techniques (optional):
- Every tag added to each page has an eyelet with a ribbon tied through it to add dimension.
- To make this page more of a “journal” than a planning calendar, use it to add fun bits of info, tiny photos, etc. from things you did during the month. You can easily add small pictures and tags for birthdays, holidays, etc. as shown – or just jot down bits of info.
- Use each calendar page as part of a 2-page layout, or as dividers in your scrapbook…or add a large focal photo to a blank area on each page and use them as stand-alone layouts!
- You can use each of the calendar pages as perpetual calendars – don’t add dates or months and frame in a 12x12 frame. You can write on the glass with an erasable marker and erase it for the next month.

Instructions: Box
- Mark a cracker box with cut lines –2 ½” high (front), and the opposite side at 3 ¾” high (back). Draw diagonal lines connecting the two heights on the sides. Cut along lines.
- Cover box with blue lined paper and ink all edges. Line inside of box with red lined paper, if desired.
- Ink pink polka-dot tag and adhere to front left of box. Adhere orange polka-dot ribbon across front of box, extending around the two sides.
- Adhere flowers, buttons, and stickers as shown.
Instructions: Envelopes
- Hole punch each envelope in the bottom left corner.
- Cover each envelope front (excluding flap) with a piece of lined paper to fit. To make holes for the string latch to fit through, lay down cut-to-size paper where it will be adhered, then mark where the eyelet for the latch sits. Lift up the paper and carefully cut an X-shape across the marked spot, about ½” out from the center. Carefully insert latch through the hole, rotating and maneuvering the pieces of the X to fit it through. Once it is completely through, carefully flatten everything back down and adhere.
- Add inked stickers or journaling spots to embellish each envelope.
- Put a binder ring through all the envelope holes to keep them together. Tie several lengths of ribbon to the binder ring to embellish.
- Put in the box.
