I cut a 6” X 9”piece of yellow cardstock and folded it in half.  I cut a 4 ½” X 5 ½” piece of candle glow cardstock.  To make the grass skirt, I carefully made cuts 1/8” apart from one another going across the 4 ½” side of cardstock.  I cut the strips the length of the cardstock stopping at ½” from top edge of cardstock.  Then I adhered the grass skirt to the yellow cardstock lining up the bottom edge of the skirt with the bottom edge of the yellow card.  I stamped the images and wording inside the card.  I used the mini glue dots to adhere the flowers across the top edge of the card and skirt.

I cut an oval shape out of the cardstock.  I strung Prima Flowers on the nylon line with a pearl bead between each flower.  I tied it off to form a circle.  To attach it to the cardstock, I pierced 4 small holes (one at the top, one at the bottom, and one on each side) in the cardstock.  I then tied the lei bracelet to the card in the holes.  This way the bracelet can be removed from the cardstock by cutting the 4 nylon line ties from the back of the cardstock.

I used the MW Express kit for this layout. I printed 2 photos on one 4 x 6 and then layered the two. I tied the twine to the ribbon and attached the ribbon so it was a little wavy.

I love all the green papers and accents from the June 2010 MemoryWorks Express kit!

I created this layout to hold memorabilia from our recent trip to see Wicked in San Francisco. The ticket holder is a Creative Imaginations; Creative Cafe tag. I folded it and adhered only the bottom to create a pocket.

This card is sooo simple to make! Just fold the white card in half, then fold 1" over from the front cover and adhere to make the front of the "shirt". I used brown ink to color the chipboard buttons - which I threaded with a piece of the jute and adhered with glue dots.

Here's the layout I came up with for this song challenge.  I can't help but smile and fondly recall the scene in my den at midnight on New Year's Eve...both my sisters were there w/ their hubby's and kids...and this Jason Mraz song was playing in the background while everyone was dancing in the new year!

 I used mostly the SS Life Documented kit for this page, in addition to a few misc. acrylic stamps, buttons, and Prima flowers.

I created this layout using the die-cut sheet from the Crate Paper Pink Plum theme set, some of the Pink Plum Title Stickers and Paper Doll Journaling Stickers for the title.

I used the Memory Works express kit, you can use any kind of paper. you need a wreath (which we found at the dollar store) 1 and 1/2 sheets of plain cardstock to wrap the wreath in, cut the strips 1 X 3 and using straight pins wrap them around the wreath. Then cut 5 sheets of double-sided coordinating cardstock in 3 quarters X 3. Take the strips and wrap tightly around a pencil, then using glue dots, fill the wreath in. You desired embellishments to decorate.

I used the crackle paint on one of the chipboard tags from Fancy Pants that came with the kit.  I used the mask in a few places on the layout.  The flower was used on the middle left of the page and the scroll mask was used at the bottom and top left of the page.  I applied the scattered straw ink with the blending tool over the mask and around the edges of the die-cut paper that came in the kit.  I added stickles in a scroll design in different areas on the layout.

FYI: this layout won 1^st prize at the February all-day crop.  I won a free crop which is $35 in value.  There were a lot of layouts in the layout competition, like 20 or so, and I won!:)

I cut out the blue butterfly from the butterfly paper that came in the kit.  I carefully bent the wings upward to add a little dimension to the layout.

I tore the black polka dot paper and sanded around the outer edges of the layout.  I used the actual hospital wrist bracelet that I wore while I was in the hospital.  These pictures show me wearing my back brace (top photos) and brace with bone growth stimulator on over top (bottom photos).

With this kit’s theme of “Beginnings”, I chose pictures focusing on new changes that occurred in our lives.  This layout focuses on my Brother’s wedding and was made using the products that came in the January 2010 MW Express Kit.

With this layout, I added some hand stitching using the Bazzill template and floss.  This is the first time I did stitching on a layout.  I think it adds a little pop to the layout.  I used the Parakeet floss because it almost matches the color of our bridesmaids dresses.

I used 2 of the chipboard birds for this card.  I covered both sides of one bird and one side of the other bird with patterned paper from the kit.  I attached the two birds with the Flip Flops.
