I created this mini-chipboard keychain album using 7 2"x2" squares of Chatterbox paper from the April MW Express Kit, as well as 5 2"x2" black and white photos, 6 Imagination Project coaster-board squares (available under "shop our products"), a strip of ribbon, and the "C" from the shimmer shapes set. (C is our family's initial)
I cut the squares of paper down to fit the rounded coaster-board squares (which are slightly smaller than 2"x2") by cutting around each one using an x-acto craft knife. (I did this on my new Basic Grey Magnetic mat...wow, much easier with magnets to hold down the item I was cutting and the item I was cutting around!) I did the same for each of the photographs. Then, I applied Mod Podge craft glue to the coasterboard and applied one photo to one side, and one piece of patterned paper to the other side. Then, I used an emory board - I used the one in the Basic Grey Precision File Set, but you can use a regular nail flie - to file down the rough edges of the paper and photo. This 'marries' the edges to the edge of the coaster-board, as well. Then, I applied mod podge craft glue to the entire photograph (yes, the front)...let it dry....then applied it to the patterned paper side....let it dry. (This protects it somewhat from fingerprints and wear/tear).
On one piece of coasterboard I applied one piece of patterned paper to each side, then I adhered the letter "C" using the mod podge to one side.
Then, I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole exactly 1/4" from the bottom left corner on each one and tied them together with a piece of the blue gingham ribbon.
This can be used on a keychain, in this way, or you could attach it to a gift...or....the possibilities are endless! :)
